Yak

     Introduction The yak is a majestic and iconic animal native to the Tibetan Plateau. Known for its distinctive appearance and impressive adaptability, the yak has been an integral part of the region's ecosystem and culture for centuries. Physical Characteristics Yaks are large, long-haired bovids with a sturdy build and a distinctive hump on their shoulders. They have a thick coat of fur that helps them survive in extreme cold temperatures, and their broad hooves provide stability on steep and rocky terrain.
