Breaking News: Powerball Jackpot Won — Historic $1.8 Billion Split Between Two Tickets



In last night’s September 6, 2025 Powerball drawing, the winning numbers were:


11, 23, 44, 61, 62 with a Powerball of 17 (Power Play multiplier: 2×)  .


This staggering $1.8 billion jackpot—the second-largest in U.S. lottery history—was claimed by two ticket holders:


  • One winner from Texas, with the ticket purchased at Big’s Convenience Store in Fredericksburg  . This winner reportedly opted for the lump-sum payout, receiving approximately $410.3 million  .
  • The other winning ticket hailed from Missouri, with the retailer yet to be disclosed  .



Both winners now face the choice between a lump sum of ~$410 million each or an annuitized option of about $893.5 million over 30 years (with annual increases)—all figures stated before taxes  .


In addition to the main jackpot, thousands of smaller prizes were claimed nationwide. Approximately 9.9 million winning tickets were sold, including multiple prizes of $1 million and $2 million  .
